You can have reference access to the University Library during core opening hours (i.e. not during self-service opening hours). You will need to present your home university identity card/Smartcard with you to sign in. If you forget your university i.d you will be required to produce 2 forms of identification, one of which must be photographic and one to confirm your address. (A photo driving license would cover both these requirements).
If you are eligible for the SCONUL Access Scheme you may be able to be given a Northumbria University smartcard and a limited allowance to borrow books.
