Fines are charged on overdue items, to encourage their prompt return and to ensure that resources are available to all students.

Fines are charged at:

  • 15p per item per day for four week loans
  • 20p per item per day for seven day loans
  • 50p per item per hour on four hour loans

.....all up to a maximum of £20 per item

If the fines on your account are £5.00 or more, then your account will be blocked, and you will not be able to borrow any further items and your current loans will not be automatically renewed.  The Libraries are cashless, but you can make payments via contactless, chip & pin, UpayChilli and Applepay, or you can pay online via your account in Library Search.
