You should speak to a Welfare, Immigration and Funding Adviser regarding how going on placement affects your visa. You can find us at the Student Support and Wellbeing Centre in Northumberland Building opposite the Library. We operate on a drop-in basis between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday, (apart from Wednesdays which is 1pm until 4pm).

If you would like to see an adviser at Coach Lane Campus you can do so at the Coach Lane Campus Library on Fridays via appointment only, usually between 10am and 4pm. Please ring 0191 227 4127 to book an appointment or call into the Library itself during opening hours if you wish to book in person.

If you are unable to meet us in person you can also e-mail the Welfare, Funding and Immigration Team using the e-mail sv.welfareandinternational@northumbria.ac.uk and an adviser will respond within 48 hours, this may be extended in busier periods.
