On 16th August 2016 the University Library launched Library Search, a powerful new academic search tool to improve how you can discover and access the scholarly record and subject literature for your learning, teaching and research.

Library Search has replaced NORA and the Library Catalogue and is available to use online and via new dedicated touch screens in the libraries on campus. Library Search provides a single search box to discover and access millions of books, journal articles, newspaper articles, audio-visual material, datasets and other scholarly resources in Northumbria’s print and digital Library Collection. Features such as citation lists and virtual browse provide new opportunities to discover related works, and the availability display for print books on the shelves includes floor location, a much requested feature from students. Library Search can be widened to resources outside the collection with seamless access to request resources ‘on demand’ by the Inter Library Loan service.

You can find Library Search at www.northumbria.ac.uk/librarysearch or use the search box on the University Library online.
