Your smartcard will expire when your course finishes (usually before your graduation). For summer graduates your smartcard will expire roughly around 30th June. This means you will no longer be able to access University facilities or borrow books as you are no longer classed as a student.
If you want to check the exact date your smartcard expires please contact Ask4Help on 0191 227 4646 or at email@example.com or visit us in person at Student Central with your smartcard and we can check for you.
If you need an extension on your smartcard, due to an assignment extension for example, please contact the Student Progress Team who will forward your request onto the Faculty Support Teams.
Access to IT facilities such as University email, printing, ebooks etc will carry on beyond your smartcard expiry date for at least 6 weeks but we would recommend that you transfer any work you have on your U: drive to a USB device or personal email as soon as possible.
