An Open Access policy is in place for REF2021, stipulating that the accepted author manuscript of all journal articles and some conference papers should be deposited in an institutional repository within three months of acceptance for publication. Some other conditions apply, for example that the manuscript should be available for download within 12 months for REF panels A and B, and within 24 months for panels C and D.
