If you are a full time undergraduate you may be able to access your local university library for reference-only purposes and potentially use equipment such as computers, you can check to see whether they will allow reference only access by seeing if they are a member of the SCONUL Access Scheme. If they are you can apply to join the scheme.
If you are part-time, a distance learner or doing a postgraduate course you may be able to use your local university library and borrow a limited number of books also via the SCONUL Access Scheme.
If you have been accepted to join the scheme please take your Northumbria University smartcard, along with a print-out of the acceptance e-mail to the university library of choice during their opening hours and you will have a SCONUL smartcard created for that particular institution.
