Yes. Northumbria University supports the Open Access movement and our main vehicle for no-cost OA publication is the University's institutional repository, NRL. Postgraduates and academic staff are encouraged to archive details of their publications in NRL and attach full-text copies where copyright permits. NRL is freely accessible online and publication by this method can be the easiest way to comply with, for example, the OA requirements of research funding bodies (see links below for more details of these).
