Q. When can I come in and speak to someone from Careers?

You can visit the Careers Adviser Drop-in and see a careers adviser in Student Central at City Campus Library on Monday to Friday from 10.00am to 4.00pm during teaching weeks and 1.00pm to 4.00pm during vacation times. This does not include institutional closure days such as Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Drop-in sessions with a careers adviser are made on a first come, first served basis and can last up to 20 minutes.  Please come to Student Central in the City Campus Library and we will register you for the Careers Advisor Drop-in.  Please arrive as early as possible before 4pm, so as not to be disappointed.

You can also get practical advice and information from a Careers Information Coordinator at the Careers Information and Job Search Drop-in. There are two drop-ins available: Monday to Friday 1:00pm to 3:00pm during teaching weeks at Student Central, City Campus Library, and Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00pm to 3:00pm during teaching weeks on the ground floor City Campus East. Both drop-ins take place in the Beach Huts. No appointment is necessary.

If you wish to use the service at our Coach Lane Campus, please either e-mail Careers directly at nucareers@northumbria.ac.uk, call Ask4Help on 0191 215 4646 or visit Ask4Help at Student Central within the University Library. We operate on an appointment-only basis at Coach Lane Campus, as there are no drop-in sessions. We can be found at the Coach Lane Campus Library. Please note that this service is for students studying at Coach Lane Campus only.
