The Careers and Employment website provides careers information for current students and gradates, details of Careers Events and employer visits.
Log into Careers Online, an employability hub designed to help you move your career forward with confidence. You can use the CV and cover letter builders, practice interview techniques, prepare for assessment centres and tests, and develop your sector and employer knowledge. Graduates can complete the online registration form here.
Register with JobsOnline to search part-time and vacation jobs, work experience and volunteer roles and graduate vacancies from employers targeting Northumbria students and graduates. Graduates will need to register with the service here.
City Campus Library holds a range of useful publications, including some take away material. Resources are located in the Library basement. We have a selection of books on a variety of subjects, including job search, CVs and application forms, interviews, selection tests, career planning, and workplace skills. Books can be loaned on a weekly basis on production of a current Smartcard.
You speak to a Careers Adviser in person during a Careers Guidance drop-in session. Sessions run at Student Central, City Campus Library Monday to Friday from 10.00am to 4.00pm during teaching weeks and 1.00pm to 4.00pm during vacation. Come to the Ask4Help Desk at Student Central to book in. Graduates need to bring one valid photographic form of ID and details of the course they studied.
We also run a Careers Information and Job Search drop-in, offering specialist support with our Careers Information Team. This service operates between 1.00pm and 3.00pm Monday to Friday during term time at Student Central, City Campus Library. There's no need to book in, staff will be situated in a Beach Huts within the Advice and Support Zone.
