Q. Who do I speak to if I wish to work or study abroad?

Answer

A member of the Careers Information Team can help you with finding relevant information and resources. You can speak to an Information Coordinator at a Careers Information and Job Search Drop-in. Drop-ins take place Monday to Friday, 1-3pm, during teaching weeks at Student Central, City Campus Library, and Tuesday & Thursday 1-3pm, during teaching weeks on the ground floor in City Campus East. Drop-ins take place in the Beach Huts. No appointment is required.

You can also speak to a Careers Adviser during Careers Advice and Guidance Drop-in which is held Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm (1pm to 4pm during vacation) - add your name to drop-in list by going to the Ask4Help service point.

There is a section in Careers Online about working or studying abroad, with links to useful general and country specific web sites.  You need to be either on-campus or using Simply Web to access these.

We have some books on working or studying abroad in City Campus Library and Coach Lane Library. Most are available to borrow with a current Northumbria student Smartcard.

If you're a Coach Lane Campus student you can book an appointment with a Careers Adviser at Coach Lane. To book an appointment at Coach Lane Campus please call Ask4Help on 0191 227 4646, email Careers directly at nucareers@northumbria.ac.uk, or visit any Ask4Help service point. Please note that this service is for students currently studying at Coach Lane Campus Only.

Alternatively please email any enquires to nucareers@northumbria.ac.uk
