I cannot access a journal article I found on Library Search, how can I view it?

All of the online journals provided by the University Library are available for use both on and off campus. In the Library Search results list, articles to which the Library subscribes are indicated with a green 'online' symbol and Full text available

If you are attempting to access a journal article which is indicated as Full text available, but cannot gain access, please see the FAQ – How can I access electronic journals?

Journals found in Library Search when you choose to widen your search to include resources from outside our collections may not be available for online access - These journals will be indicated by a grey symbol and the No full-text label. You may request access via an Inter Library Loan – the option to request this will show when you sign in to Library Search. You can find further information and support for requesting this type of loan in our Inter Library Loans guide.

If you continue to have difficulty viewing an article to which you should have access, please contact a member of staff at an Ask4Help point, phone Ask4Help on 0191 227 4646, or email ask4help@northumbria.ac.uk.
