If you are an international student doing a pre-sessional English course and your bank letter isn't accepted due to the length of your course please visit the Ask4Help point in Student Central and we will arrange for a letter to be produced for you.
If your course dates are incorrect then please contact the team in Student Central either in person or by raising an enquiry on your Student Portal. Following this allow 24 hours for your details to update and request a second bank letter via your Student Portal, allow a further 24 hours then please visit an Ask4Help point within the University Library and we will print out a new bank letter for you, please hand in your old letter to be destroyed.
If your bank letter does not include the correct address(es) then please make amendments on your Student Portal (Guide Here). Following this allow 24 hours for your details to update and request a second bank letter via your MyNorthumbria page, allow a further 24 hours then please visit an Ask4Help point within the University Library and we will print out a new bank letter for you, please hand in your old letter to be destroyed.
Multiple Bank Letter Requests
If you have already requested 2 bank letters you will not be able to request any more via your Student Portal. To get another bank letter please visit an Ask4Help point and the Ask4Help Team will produce one for you or you can request an ‘Exceptions Letter’ via your Student Portal, see details below.
If your bank requires a more bespoke letter please ask them what information they require on the letter and request an 'Exceptions Letter' from us. Please access the Student Portal via the Northumbria University homepage and click on the My Info link on the left hand side of the page followed by the Menu button at the top of the screen and then Letter requests. You will then be presented with a list of letters you can request or print. Scroll down to Exceptions Letter and click Request Letter. You can then type in the information you require on the letter, submit your request and you should receive an email when it is ready to collect, this can take up to 48 hours. Collect your letter from Student Central at City Campus.
