If you forget your smartcard then we can give you a 1-day visitor pass, for use during "core hours" (please see: http://library.northumbria.ac.uk/opening-hours for details). You will need to provide photo ID.

You are are only allowed three 1-day visitor passes in any one academic year. Once you have had 3 visitor passes, you must produce your Smartcard, or pay for a replacement card.

You can still print/scan documents to email/photocopy without your Northumbria University smartcard by selecting the Alternate Login> button on the printer touchscreen and manually typing your Northumbria University userid and password when prompted. You can then use the printer as normal.

Students are also required to register for lectures and seminars with their Smartcards; if you do forget your Smartcard there may be an alternative way to sign-in, but if not you will need to notify the Student Progress Team, as this may affect your attendance record.
